This year’s Cabaret Benefit Concert is filled with an impressive array of performers, led by musical director Bradley Beahen. Each of these talented singers has performed at Lyric Arts within the last year, or will perform again by the end of the season. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have them share their gifts with you in support of our mission here at Lyric Arts
Hometown gal Kate Beahen is a familiar face at Lyric Arts, having appeared in over ten productions on the Main Street Stage in just the last seven years--including IF/THEN, GUYS & DOLLS, ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE, and RENT--not to mention performing in countless benefit performances.
"I couldn't be more proud and honored to have worked at Lyric Arts over the years. Nothing brings me more joy than to watch this incredible theatre grow, thrive and continue to impress this community. What better way to celebrate than by coming together with a group of talented friends to sing a few songs and raise some money! It'll be a blast!"
Kaitlin Dahlquist is a newcomer to Lyric Arts and a newcomer to local theater scene, having only moved to the Twin Cities area in August.
Kaitlin had an "amazing time" performing in WINTER WONDERETTES, her first show since her move. "Everyone at Lyric Arts made me feel extremely welcome and was always treated with the upmost professionalism and respect. They truly make you feel appreciated and valued, which is why I will continue to work for them whenever I can!"
Actor, singer, and stand-up comedian Val Roder made her Lyric Arts debut this past holiday season.
"Not only do I enjoy any opportunity to perform for the wonderful Lyric Arts community, I’m also thrilled to help support the arts by performing in their fundraiser! I’ve loved working with the talented artists involved in this Cabaret, and it’s been wonderful to reunite with Bradley Beahen and Kaitlin Dahlquist, after working with them on WINTER WONDERETTES in 2018. Thanks for having me!"
Zach Hedner (IF/THEN, GUYS & DOLLS) is a relative newcomer to the Main Street Stage who "jumped at the offer" to perform in this year's Cabaret. "I absolutely love Lyric Arts. It seemed like a chance to do something that I love and help something I really care about." Zach continued, "I am so thankful to have been welcomed into this theatre, and for the wonderfully talented casts and production teams. Lyric Arts is a really special place, and it was the place that started my career as an actor. They are so supportive of everyone, and truly care about the art that they are creating."
